George P. Yeonas

Mr. Yeonas received his B.A. in History from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from The American University Washington College of Law.

Mr. Yeonas’ practice is concentrated in the areas of real estate acquisition and financing, the development of commercial, retail, and residential real estate and related business and commercial litigation.

He has acted as counsel for purchasers and sellers of commercial real estate, including shopping centers, office buildings, commercial condominiums, and warehouse-flex space facilities. In addition, he has worked extensively in the area of commercial real estate financing. As counsel for numerous builders and developers of both residential and commercial properties, he has worked extensively to assist his clients in the acquisition of large parcels of real property for commercial, mixed use, and residential projects.  He has worked for many years in the drafting and negotiation of complex contract documents that are required to enable buyers and sellers of real property to acquire, develop, and market their assets. This work has also involved the dedication, subdivision, and planning of property and the attendant relations with local and state government to obtain approvals and entitlements in order to allow large development projects to be approved by governmental authorities under the client’s development plans. 

Mr. Yeonas is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the District of Columbia and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.  He is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.
